The author has always been a sailing boat rather than a power boat type of person. The author has owned a number of yachts, the last of which was an S&S 30. Unfortunately the family was not into sailing. As the years went on the yacht just sat on a mooring and more time was spent maintaining it than using it. Why the author telling this? Being a Project Manager, the author treated it as a project. As the author nears completion, the author wants to share the approach and some of the lessons the author learned by using project management outside the conventional business area. In some areas, it was not pretty.
