Rejection of AR-Type Interference in DS Spread Spectrum Systems With Improved Code-Aided Technique

Executive Summary

For direct sequence spread spectrum communication systems suffering interference, code-aided interference suppression technique outperforms all of the previous linear or nonlinear methods. In this paper, the authors proposed an improved code-aided technique which can further improve the system performance greatly by using the eigenvector sign spreading sequence proposed in this paper, which depends on the statistical characteristics of the interference and the thermal noise. One reason that Spread-Spectrum (SS) technique is widely used today is its ability of coexisting with narrowband systems without undue degradation of either system's performance.
