Requirement Elicitation Tecniques for Datawarehouse

Data warehouse is a subject-oriented, integrated, time-variant, and nonvolatile collection of data to provide the strategic information to the decision makers. Most of the data ware house project fails to meet the business requirements and business goals because of the improper requirement engineering phase. Building a data warehouse is a very challenging task. Data warehouse development can use any of the three basic methodologies: data-driven, user-driven and goal-driven. A large number of data warehousing methodologies and tools are available to support the growing market. In this paper, the authors present the detail discussion of the various methodologies used for Requirements elicitation based on some common set of attributes and classification to developing the non fading data ware house.
