An interesting part of the decision analysis is the elicitation of the criteria used by the decision maker. This task is present in various studies - the author's example is the individual supplier selection decision. Interesting questions about values and objectives, and about the thinking processes of the decision maker in general can be answered by decision criteria analysis. From methodological perspective, the examination of decision criteria is not an easy research task. Although one can get fast results by using some of the research methods, the results might be hard to interpret.
