Research of Burst Media Access Control Protocol in CFP
Wireless Local Area Network (WLAN) is a prevalent network in the Network Control System (NCS). To lower access delay of burst real-time data in large WLAN Control System (WNCS), proposed a modified PCF (Burst PCF, BPCF) based on IEEE 802.11 MAC. Data transported through WNCS included Non-Real-time Data (NRD), Periodic Real-time Data (PRD), Burst Real-time Data (BRD). PRD were polled by standard PCF. BRD are divided into two cases by the data occurs and adopted two schemes to transmit BRD in CFP. BPCF reduced burst data access delay in CFP and guaranteed the bound of real-time access delay. Simulation and analysis show the performance of BPCF excels the standard PCF in real-time access delay.
