RF MEMS Suspended Band-Stop Resonator and Filter for Frequency and Bandwidth Continuous Fine Tuning
Tunable band-stop resonators are the building block to produce tunable band-stop filters that can play an important role in wireless communication receivers. The authors can be used in adaptable image rejection receivers, or to tune out interfering signals at the RF stage of a receiving communications system. The proposed device can also be used to attenuate signals passing through the main transmission line with frequency and bandwidth reconfiguration. The required level of attenuation is defined by choosing an initial distance between the suspended shuttle and the main line at the time of fabrication.
