RFID Based Library Automation with Wireless: 2.4GHz 802.11b Wireless Communication

In a library, a member picks up a book and goes to the librarian. The librarian enters the members and books details into the library database and issues the book. While the librarian is engaged with this work there are chances for a book to be stolen. The goal of this paper, library automation, is to automatically issue books and provide security against theft. In other words library automation can be defined as the use of electronic systems to perform jobs like issue of books, entry of members & books details into the library database and provide security against theft automatically. Here, the authors have opted to use ISO/IEC 15693 protocol RFID tags, 13.56MHz RFID reader, 802.11b wireless communication for implementing the paper.
