Role of Angular Momentum Dependent Inertia in One-Quasiparticle Rotational Bands
Rotational spectra have been well established as an important feature of the excited states in heavy nuclei. The rotational model proposed by Bohr requires that the spectrum of an odd-A rotational nucleus corresponds to that of a particle coupled to a non-spherical rotating core. In this paper, the authors present the Particle Rotor Model calculations to explore the role of angular momentum dependence of inertia parameter in explaining energy spectrum of one quasi-particle rotational bands observed in axially symmetric nuclei. For minute inspection of angular momentum dependence of inertia parameter, they considered with different possibilities of free parameters such as angular momentum dependence of inertia and rotational correction term, individually as well as collectively.
