RTS-AC: Admission Control Method for IEEE 802.11e WLANs
In wireless LAN an important concern is channel utilization. IEEE 802.11e TGe propose Transmission OPportunity (TXOP) scheme with admission control method in which a station is allowed to send a number of consecutive packets limited by the duration allocated and station accepts or rejects the flows on the basis of available resources. However its use is not optimize. In this paper an scheme is proposed to increase the system efficiency by using the remaining TXOP duration efficiently. The performance of the scheme is evaluated from simulation developed in NS2 simulator.
