Recent statistics have shown the decline in the number of students choosing computer science as an undergraduate degree in the United States of America. This problem is pressing as the supply of qualified computer scientists is decreasing while demand for computer scientists in industry and academia is increasing. As part of this effort, the authors have organized three workshops to introduce K- 12 students to concepts of computer science and computer science as a career.
