SenSec: A Scalable and Accurate Framework for Wireless Sensor Network Security Evaluation

The use of Wireless Sensor Networks (WSNs) is expanding rapidly in a variety of fields. As the use of sensors evolves from merely capturing data to real-time event detection and response, sensor networks must provide accurate and authentic data to guarantee operational integrity. Security solutions are necessary to prevent malicious attacks on sensor networks. With large-scale deployments of motes running a diverse set of applications, it is beneficial to first evaluate and validate the design and performance of secure sensor networks through simulation prior to deployment. Furthermore, WSN security should be evaluated in realistic environments.
