Setting Web Service and JCA Adapter Endpoints Dynamically in Oracle SOA Suite
Various business processes in organizations are carried out with some form of integration with external systems including file systems, web services, message queues, databases, and backend applications. The endpoints of these systems mentioned here are different for growth, testing, and production. They can also be changed during the application's life cycle. This paper talks about the installation of the SOA Suite Essential for WLI Users series that help in showing how the endpoints of adapter can be set dynamically in Oracle SOA Suite, and the resemblance to the process in WebLogic Integration controls. How these dynamic endpoints can be handled in Oracle WebLogic Integration (WLI) and Oracle SOA Suite is what this paper points out. The developer can also change the endpoint value in question with the business process, and then recompile, reorganize, and retest the applications. The values of the endpoints mentioned in the administration console can be changed and set by the developers. The message header properties can be configured for Web service binding components or JCA adapter binding components that are part of an installed SOA composite application. Oracle JCA Adapters expose the properties specific to underlying back-end operations as header elements and allow the operation of these elements within a business process. Oracle JCA Adapter properties mentioned in the paper can be added, deleted, or reverted from the Oracle Enterprise Manager Fusion Middleware Control Console (EM).
