Executive Summary

In this paper, the authors derive the Signal-to-Interference-plus-Noise Ratio (SINR) for Multiple-Input Multiple-Output (MIMO) Orthogonal Frequency-Division Multiplexing (OFDM) systems in the presence of frequency offset and channel estimation errors. The channel is assumed to be frequency-selective Rayleigh fading. The authors' analysis of the demodulated signal shows that the interference can be decomposed into two independent components: Inter-Carrier Interference and interference contributed by other transmit antennas. The SINR for MIMOOFDM systems with Equal Gain Combining (EGC) and Maximal Ratio Combining (MRC) are also derived.
