Simulation Based Overhead Analysis of AOMDV, TORA and OLSR in MANET Using Various Energy Models
In this paper, the authors have studied the energy overhead performance of three different routing protocols under three different energy models. The three different energy models considered are: Bansal Energy Model, Vaddina Energy Model and Chandrakasan Energy Model. They apply these energy models to AOMDV, TORA and OLSR routing protocols to determine the energy overhead among these three routing protocols by varying the transmission range. Their aim is not to determine which energy model has less overhead, but to analyze how these routing protocols behave under different energy models. In the analysis of energy overhead the underlying mobility model also plays a very important role.
