Simulink and System Generator Blockset for FPGA Implementation of the Digital Modulation Schemes
FPGA Implementation of digital communication systems requires combination of Very Large Scale Integrated (VLSI) technology and DSP tools. The authors demonstrate here that this methodology provides fine-grained control of hardware and faithful simulation semantics from a system level environment. Also the steps taken to simulate the modulation and demodulation blocks are shown. The test benches are created using ISE 10.1 Xilinx simulations are supported with conversion of digital signals to analog domain using CRO. For implementing many signals processing applications MATLAB is one of the most popular languages and Xilinx ISE 10.1 is one of the efficient platforms.
