Solid Sorption Based Heat Transformers for Application in Industrial Processes: A Techno-Economic Evaluation

The evaluation presented in this contribution gives a clear picture of prerequisites for the techno-economic feasibility of a high-temperature-high-lift thermochemical heat transformer for industrial processes. Given a market introduction period of about 5 years and a market share of about 16%, about 166 PJ primary energy can be saved in the period from the assumed launching year 2008 to the year 2020.
