Concurrent with the growth in the volume of email messages has been the emergence of a significant body of literature of best practice use of email. Central to this literature has been a focus on the role email plays in the phenomenon of 'Information overload' and that this 'E-mail overload' leads to stress and a reduction in productivity in the email recipient.
