This paper presents the design of Substrate Integrated Waveguide (SIW) band pass filters centered at 60 GHz, with a fractional bandwidth ranging from 2.5 % to 3.3 %. The filters have been fabricated with a conventional PCB process and PTFE based substrates. Simulations and measurements are consistent for all different responses and demonstrate the suitability of using SIW technology for low cost applications at this frequency band. Communication systems at millimeter-wave offer several advantages over the standard wireless link communications.
