The paper analyzes the changes affecting the supply network strategies of mid-sized Italian companies born and developed leveraging on strong supply network relationships with co-localized actors within their industrial district contexts. Particular attention is devoted to the changes concerning the management of their local and global supplier relationships as a consequence of their growth and their positioning on the international market. The paper therefore aims at focusing on the interplay between the mid-sized company's growth and development and the most significant changes in the structure and in the substance of its supply network relationships.
