A Content Management System (CMS) is a computer software system for organizing and facilitating collaborative creation and distribution of paper and other content. It could be a web application used for managing websites and web content. In many cases, a CMS requires special client software for editing and creating papers. These expectations thus drive the need for stringent verification and validation processes during upgrade projects. This paper presents a new concept called the 'Test Strategy Component' framework and its implementation for overcoming critical challenges during CMS upgrade testing.
