Testing the Impact of Odd and Even Point Crossover of Genetic Algorithm Over the Data Fusion in Information Retrieval
The retrieval schemes arrange process and list the documents in the corpus against the user query. The schemes differ from each other in any one of the above mentioned mechanisms. Hence, the literature has been flooded with various retrieval models and schemes. The merits of the various schemes can be merged together to enhance the overall performance of the retrieval systems. The merging process again depends on the proper selection of individual schemes participating in the merging. The optimization/searching tools are used for selection. This paper indents to use Genetic Algorithm (GA) as the tool and the authors plan to test the impact of odd and even point crossover.
