Information security risk is a major concern for organisations, particularly when implementing Information Communication Technology (ICT) outsourcing. Despite the benefits of ICT outsourcing, it places information assets at risk and thus the viability of the strategy owes much of its success to the security measures taken to minimise such risks. The overall objective of this paper is to conduct an empirical study on the association between information assets confidentiality and availability in ICT outsourcing phases. Through purposive sampling, questionnaires were distributed to 300 respondents in various private and government agencies in Malaysia with a return rate of 36%.
