The Communication Process

This presentation talks about the communication process. Cooperative enterprise requiring mutual interchange of ideas and information and out of which understanding develops and action is taken. The elements of communication are idea formaton- largely internal, idea encoding, symbols, communication channel, timing and receiver decoding etc. One should consider language barriers, cultural differences, reading levels, attitudes while taking the concept of communication in consideration. Talking about Communication and persuasion the presentation says about the use of persuasion to bring about informed public consent, two way communication etc. The core concept of one-way and two-way communications is also described for a better understanding. The support of personal views is very important in our day-to-day life. While making a brief it tells about the benefit of receiver. Group values and beliefs - those established by family, friends, coworkers, and organizations we belong to or would like to belong to. The inputs on presentation and mass-media are very valuable. Later it explains the personality of receiver, low self-esteem, and high self-esteem. The importance of symbols and crisis communication is also discussed at the end of the presentation.
