The authors give an overview of the economics of 'Public Sector Information' (PSI) focusing on the question of funding and regulatory structure. That is: who should pay to maintain public sector information and what regulatory structure should be put in place to support this. This paper examines the economics of 'Public Sector Information' (PSI). Public sector information is information held by a public sector organisation, for example a government department or, more generally, any entity which is majority owned and/or controlled by government.
