IBM conducted 1,130 interviews with chief executives, general managers, business leaders and public-sector heads in the course of completing the research for their third biennial Global CEO Study, which aims to identify the key characteristics of the Enterprise of the Future. The focus of the survey is on the responses of the 40 CEOs who run Life Sciences companies. The organizations they represent cover every aspect of the Life Sciences industry in virtually every part of the world. The findings show that the Enterprise of the Future has five key traits. It is hungry for change, innovative beyond customer imagination, globally integrated, disruptive by nature, and genuine, not just generous.
