The purpose of this paper is to explore the intellectual structure of e-business studies from 1998-2007, by analyzing 8479 cited references of 482 articles from e-business in the SSCI and SCI databases. In this paper, bibliometric and multivariate analysis techniques are used to trace the intellectual structure of the e-business literature. The authors identify the relevant publications and influential scholars as well as correlations among these publications by analyzing citations and co-citations. This study provides reader a tool for evaluating ebusiness publications and provides a systematic and objective means of determining the knowledge nodes in the development of the e-business research.
