For many years now, IT organizations have expended a great deal of effort supporting and managing desktop computing environments. Despite this investment, businesses continue to struggle with desktop management. And a number of trends are making the situation even more difficult, including: increasing globalization of the workforce, proliferation of a variety of endpoint devices, growing numbers of corporate applications, mounting concern over "Green" considerations such as power and cooling efficiency and recyclability, and ever-tightening IT budgets.
