Broadband response of materials to electromagnetic stimuli provides important information about their electronic and fundamental properties. This information may help to accelerate the development and incorporation of new electronic materials such as High-Temperature Superconductors (HTSs), ferroelectrics, and magneto-electric and/or multi-ferroics in general, into devices used for electronic applications. For such characterization, the authors have used broadband CoPlanar Waveguide (CPW) structures. The authors have extracted the electrical parameters for the broadband frequency response of their CPW structures using accurate calibration techniques; these electrical parameters may then be related to the properties of the constituent materials.
