This paper presents measured throughput characteristics of a 2-by-2 MIMO radio communication using a RF-controlled spatial fading emulator on a Wireless Local Area Network (WLAN) system based on the IEEE 802.11n. To demonstrate a MIMO evaluation in a multipath fading with delay paths, two digital fading simulators are applied to the emulator. In this system, the emulator can make a spatial distribution of incoming waves and vary phase of the waves according to Doppler shift. The two fading simulators are used only for producing the delay waves among the incoming waves.
