In this podcast, they present the results of a recent series of customer case studies on the costs of database administration for Microsoft SQL Server and Oracle database software solutions. The case studies revealed that on average the SQL Server Database Administrators (DBAs) were able to manage over four times as many mission-critical databases as their Oracle counterparts. In addition, the SQL Server DBAs spent a higher percentage of their time deploying new business applications, and they deployed new databases faster than the Oracle DBAs. Come hear how the results of these case studies can help one better evaluate the manageability of these two leading database platforms and possibly lower the ongoing IT operations costs.
