Towards Semantic Interoperability of Graphical Domain Specific Modeling Languages for Telecommunications Service Design
High competition pressures Telecommunications service providers to reduce their concept-to-market time. To manage more easily service complexity among several actors in the design process and to ensure a more flexible maintainability, service decomposition into stakeholder dedicated views is now largely investigated by companies. However, there is still a lack of tools to fully support and implement this approach in various domains, especially Telecommunications. Consequently, in this paper, the authors defend using a Domain Specific Modeling Language for each viewpoint. They also regroup them into a family of modeling languages, relying on a meta-modeling approach. To ensure better interaction and coherence between the various viewpoints, they focus on some interoperability issues early at design time.
