Turbo algorithms have been proposed for channel estimation and synchronization in coded OFDM systems. In particular, deploy soft estimates of the data tones to successively enhance the channel estimation in single-input single-output OFDM systems under the assumption of perfect synchronization. Unlike these studies employs a semi-blind channel estimator that uses hard decisions of the data bits to successively improve the channel estimates in a MIMO-OFDM receiver with a turbo decoder. Taking into account both channel estimation and synchronization, - propose turbo algorithms for estimating the Channel Impulse Response (CIR) and Carrier Frequency Offset (CFO) but without considering the Sampling Frequency Offset (SFO) effect in single-input single-output OFDM systems.
