Executive Summary

Recently, an article based on a Weatherhead marketing professor's dissertation and published in the January 2007 issue of the Journal of Marketing was recognized as the by the American Marketing Association's (AMA) Sales Special Interest Group. This AMA network of global marketing and sales scholars gave the paper its highest recognition for contribution to sales theory among all articles published during the 2007 calendar year. Upon receiving the award at the 2008 AMA's Summer Educators' conference held in San Diego, California, both Professors Hunter and Perreault expressed their sincerest appreciation to the global community of academic scholars who nominated the article for consideration and selected it for this award.
