Using the AHP Methodology to Evaluate Strategic Investment Alternatives of New Paradigms in Information Technology
Enterprise adoption of a Product Life Cycle Management (PLM) system is a multi-faceted process that can be simplified by choosing the right Information Technology (IT) deployment model. Cloud computing has been described as a technological change brought about by the convergence of a number of new and existing technologies. The paper provides a review of the main developments in the AHP (Analytical Hierarchy Process) methodology as a tool for decision makers to be able to do more informed decisions regarding investments in new paradigms that IT offers. The AHP methodology is a multi-objective, multi criteria decision-making approach that employs a pair-wise comparison procedure to arrive at a scale of preferences among a set of alternatives.
