What Is Accounting?

Accounting involves identifying, analyzing, recording, and communicating the economic and financial information about an organization. Its purpose is to assess the financial position of the organization and accordingly chart out the course for future financial planning. Study and interpretation of financial statements is an accounting activity. The paper examines accounting process and discusses different components of financial statements.
