Airports and even gas stations offering wireless connectivity, road warriors have found a convenient way to stay in touch with the corporate office. While using public hotspots is convenient, the user should think twice before accessing any confidential information using a hotspot. Recent headlines raise concern about wireless security around hotspots. In particular the "Evil Twin" attack has received much attention. In this scenario a hacker impersonates a legitimate, commercial hotspot and an unsuspecting user connects to the "Evil Twin" wireless access point. Once connected the hacker can intercept all wireless traffic, read the victim's email and collect login usernames, passwords, or credit card information.
