Application of wireless communication technology to medical care (called Medical-Information and Communication Technology) is attractive topic in recent year. Ultra WideBand (UWB) is examined as one of the candidate of communication system for Medical-ICT. This paper shows measurement and examination of UWB channel characteristics when antennas touch human body, and evaluation of the BER (Bit Error Rate) performance in UWB system with the measurement channel response. The compensation technique of channel characteristics is also proposed. The performance is improved to modify the transmitted UWB pulse waveform to the multi-carrier type pulse.
