How Accordia helps the user ... Most software tools operate on files or items within folders (i.e., word processor files, spreadsheet files, graphics files, Web Pages, MS Outlook Folders, MS Outlook Items, etc.). These files, folders and/or items are stored all over one's system or network and also frequently out on the World Wide Web.However, most users really work on activities that often involve any or all of these types of resources. Thus, users spend much of their time locating and accessing these resources so that they can benefit from the information stored therein. Accordia helps the user organize their activity notes and then link these notes to the various resources ... Accordia ties it all together! How Accordia operates ... Accordia uses a "book" metaphor to help the user organize their work environment. Each Accordia database can have multiple "Sections" each with multiple "Topics". Within each "Topic" one can store multiple free-form "Notes". These notes are then linked to the various resources associated with the user's activities. With the click of the mouse one can locate and review their activity notes and then access any of the associated resources. Additionally, each activity note can be assigned a Due Date and can also be given an Index Value (any text string) for classification. These Due Date and Index lookups help the user quickly find the notes that need their attention. In addition to these lookups, there is a comprehensive search facility (text strings, etc.) to help the user locate any desired note(s) within an Accordia database.
