Ambar 1.0b1 (Mac)

Ambar displays icons for all running applications in the menu bar. A click on an application's icon pops up the so called dock menu. Maybe this is pointless for those already got used to the Dock, but I know there is a reasonable amount of users that still prefer the menu bar for switching apps. Old habits die hard.In its current state Ambar is more or less a test and demonstration for getting an application's window list - which is quite difficult to accomplish under Mac OS X. However, now as I'm aware of a solution, I plan to implement that kind of functionality for ASM ( http://asm.vercruesse.de ) and Menuversum ( http://menuversum.vercruesse.de ).
