Welcome to aQuick Phrase......where speaking quickly pays off!If you've ever played Hasbro's Catch Phrase(tm), then you already know how to play aQuick Phrase. (Legalese... aQuick Phrase is not affiliated with Hasbro or Catch Phrase(tm) in any way.)SetupTo play, split up into 2, 3, or 4 teams with at least 2 people per team. Sit in a circle so that you alternate teams in a pattern. (e.g. With 3 teams and 2 players/team, you would have a circle of team 1, team 2, team 3, team 1, team 2, team 3.)Make sure you set up the Settings correctly with the # of teams, # of points and the categories you want to play with.PlayingTeam 1 starts by simply touching the "Touch to Start" phrase. A new phrase will appear and you try to get your team to guess the phrase before time runs out. If your team guesses the phrase correctly, then quickly pass the iPhone or iPod Touch to the next team and they touch the existing phrase to get a new one. Give clues to your team in order for them to guess the phrase. You can say just about anything and you can use gestures, too. There are some limitations though: * No counting of letters or words * No rhyming. * No saying of any part of the phrase, even if your team has said that part. * No giving or hinting at starting or ending letters. As clues are being given out, the other team members shout out their guesses until either they shout the correct phrase or the buzzer sounds. Whichever team is holding the iPhone or iPod Touch when the buzzer sounds loses that round. So once your team correctly guesses the phrase, pass quickly! (We do not advocate throwing or tossing of iPhones or iPod Touches.)The team that lost the round starts the next round.ScoringFor games with only 2 teams, the team that won the round gets a point. The first team to reach the 7, 10 or 13 points wins. For games with 3 or 4 teams, the losing team gets a point. The first team to reach the 7, 10 or 13 points loses. The winner is the team with the lowest score. If multiple teams had the lowest score, you can play sudden death until only 1 team emerges victorious.Features:* Up to 4 teams* Play until 7, 10, or 13 points.* 6 categories to choose from.* Random timer with no visual or auditory clue as it gets closer to the end, so stalling is not beneficial.* Kid's Version leaves out any adult phrases. It also leaves out phrases that most kids under 10 would not know, like "Anesthesiologist".
