Also a full blown app for iPad.BYU Network Device Registration lets you register your iPhone, iPad or any other device to BYU's device registration database using your device's MAC address. This allows users of the device to forgo the authentication (i.e. Logging in) process when connecting to a wired or wireless network anywhere on campus once the device is registered to the university's database. However, this registration is temporary and all the computers and devices need to be re-registered periodically (as per current guidelines, for computers it is every 4 months and for mobile devices it is every 1 year).The MAC address of each device is its unique identifier. This application makes it easy for users to register their iPhone/iPod/iPad without having to find their device's MAC address manually. Through this application, it is also possible to register any other device although users will have to find the MAC address of that device manually. However, the app provides a link to helpful information for finding the MAC address for different devices.This application facilitates every side of the registration process.
