Wintertime means one thing for the Extreme Monsters - extreme winter sports! Too bad they have to deal with Doc's nephew, Gerald, who's making a mess of practices. Then there's Pendant's new star, Mr. Hydeous, the best extreme athlete the team has ever seen and he's entered every event! Can the team master their new events even with Gerald's interference? Can they win against the amazing Mr. Hydeous? And can the team discover Mr. Hydeous' secret before it's too late? Find out in Extreme Monsters: Meet Mr. Hydeous! Best for ages 7 - 10, the Extreme Monsters crew includes: Val, Skateboarding Vampire. The leader of the Extreme Monsters, Val is a half vampire. He doesn't drink blood like his dad, but instead likes the strict vegetarian diet that his mother taught him. Val is a top-ranked skateboarder. He can turn to mist, has super hearing, and can fly. Jinx, Street Luging Witch. A young witch who is addicted to the high speed and danger of street luge, Jinx is the heart of the Extreme Monsters and is often the person to settle arguments. She loves studying and books almost as much as she does competing. Jinx can cast spells, but since she's only a student, sometimes they don't turn out exactly right. Wulf, In-Line Skating Werewolf. Impetuous and sometimes hot-headed, Wulf is one young werewolf who can really skate. He's an in-line skate expert specializing in verticals. He has great agility and quick reactions that allow him to pull off fantastic tricks but sometimes pushes himself a little farther than he should. Steiner, BMX Biking Monster. A product of Pendant Labs and designed by Doc, Steiner is the Extreme Monsters' BMX specialist. Thanks to the help of the Extreme Monsters, Steiner escaped Pendant's clutches and joined the team. He is extremely loyal and just likes everyone to be friends. Steiner has a size and strength advantage on most of his competitors. Mumford, Speed Climbing Mummy. Mumford is the youngest of the Extreme Monsters. An expert in speed climbing, Mumford is quiet and shy, but is always thinking. He tends to be a little accident-prone and is constantly adding to the bandages that wrap him up. Mumford is able to control his bandages, moving them like snakes with his mind.
