IfOnly will help you find the current value of the Apple shares that you would have accrued over the years if you had spent the same amount of money on Apple shares as you spent on the company's products. Navigating through a list of Apple products, the app enables you to select items that you have bought in the past, optionally overriding the release date and the release date price. As you build up a list of purchases, the app refers to historical Apple share price data, calculating the number of shares that you could have bought at the time for the amount spent on each product. A final share value figure is found by totaling these amounts and referring to the most recent Apple share price available to the application (pulled from the net where possible). An example: the Macintosh IIci was released in September 1989 for $8,800 US. At that time Apple's split adjusted share price was around $10.37 So, with $8,800 you could have bought around 848 shares. In March 2011 the share price was around $350, so those 848 shares would be worth around $297,010.
