This application will calculate the Simple Clinical Score (SCS) for a patient, giving the following information:1. SCS risk stratification2. Predicted 30 day mortality3. Median length of hospital stay4. 30 day re-admission rateThe Simple Clinical Score is based on points awarded for 16 independent predictors of mortality as identified by J Kellett & B Deane (1):AgeSystolic Blood PressurePulse Rate > Systolic Blood PressureTemperatureRespiratory RateOxygen SaturationBreathless on presentation?Abnormal ECG?Diabetes (T1 or T2)?Coma without intoxication or overdose?Altered mental status without coma, intoxication or overdose & age >49 yearsNew stroke on presentationUnable to stand unaided or a nursing home resident?Prior to current illness, spent some part of daytime in bed?Credits:1.
