SMB (also called CIFS) is the native network file sharing protocol of Microsoft Windows. Mac OS X 10.1 and later and most Linux distributions support it. SMB is also supported on a variety of other systems, including many network file storage appliances.SMB Image can display most JPEG, PNG, TIFF, GIF and BMP format image files.SMB Image significantly extends the capability of your device by providing access to image libraries that are external to the Photos application. Since SMB Image does not use local device storage, there is essentially no limit to the number of images that can be accessed and displayed.Key features:Supports up to 4 network file serversNetwork status detection and auto-recoveryNetbios and DNS name resolutionName resolution bypassInformative status messagesConfigurable file extension filteringAutomatic directory indexingImage information displaySave images to Photos librarySlideshows with configurable transitionsSMB Image includes a full set of instructions and basic server setup information.Important notes:SMB Image requires a WiFi connection.
