Virtually any type of application which needs to communicate with another, either on a local network or over the Internet, can be written using SocketWrench Secure. It provides both client and server capability, and includes support for standard and secure (SSL) connections. SWS has the ability to establish secure connections with remote servers, as well as function as a secure server itself. Unlike other packages that provide client-only services, or require the mastering of two (or more) controls, you can build virtually any type of application with SocketWrench Secure using either the TCP or UDP protocols.
