StartEmUp 2.0 (Mac)
Source: Nybbles&Bits
StartEmUp was written to quickly restart the items in my Startup Items folder. Some programs, like Disk First Aid and some installers, kill off anyrunning applications. OK, I can understand that this is necessary, but why don't you put them back? ("If you don't have time to put it back, then youdon't have time to get it out." my parents used to say.) So, I wrote StartEmUp to quickly do it for me. Then, stopping selected processes became important to me. And then cleaning out the Temporary Items folder of all files, or the Recent Applicationsfolder of orphaned aliases...Quickly starts all selected items in a folder, which defaults to Startup Items, but you can select any folder. And, for version 2, StartEmUp will remember any folder you tell it to startup with. You can now tell StartEmUp to automatically select applications, control panels, or system extensions. You can also select all or none of these. Can also "ShutEmDown", or kill off running processes on your Mac. Thanks again to Bob Clark (author of Peek-a-Boo, an excellent process monitor/manager) for his informative assistance. Can also "CleanEmOut", or do mass file deletions. Now shows type and creator codes in all lists.
