The Fiber Year 1.00 (iOS)

The English yearbook The Fiber Year 2011 bases upon an annual publication from Akzo (former world market leader in manmade fibers) starting in the 1960s. The author has been making this report in the last 11 years. The actual version comprises updated information on manmade and natural fiber markets as well as nonwovens. The 2010 increase of consumption for fibers and yarns was the strongest in 25 years, leading to an all-time high at about 80 million tonnes. This corresponds with a per-capita demand of 11.8 kg.
