Vote Kiosk is an iPad based voting application that works with a web based content management system (CMS). This application improves every stage of the voting process on university campuses. It can be used simultaneously from multiple locations for campus voting or be used for campus wide surveys. This mobile application streamlines the voting process by improving voting organization, encouraging student participation, and enhancing data management. Vote Kiosk ensures reliable, fast, and convenient campus voting/survey activities.Process of Vote Kiosk AppWith a web based CMS, data management and updates are easy and setup takes just a few steps: Set the ballotFrom a password-protected CMS page on the web, administrators can set the ballot for election positions and candidates running for that position, they can upload a voter list that will be compared with voter input on the election day for verification, and they can set up the overall application. Verify the voterVote Kiosk replaces manual voter verification with accurate automatic verification, and enhances voting verification accuracy and precision. Identity of the voter will be verified by comparing voter provided data on the iPad kiosk with the voter list (CSV) that administrator uploaded. Also, CMS mechanism ensures that same person cannot vote more than once. Voter verification will be synchronized in case of multiple voting locations. The verification can also be turned off if university administrators decide to skip the process. Cast a voteDuring the voting process, voters can easily select their choice by touching a few buttons on the iPad Kiosk. Before submitting their choices, voters can also change their choices if they desire. Voters will also have the option to request for a receipt for their vote via email. Tabulate the votesAfter each vote, Vote Kiosk can provide instant results, such as total number of voters, total number of votes for each candidate, etc. Vote result can be viewed, printed, emailed, or published on the web.
