The concept and implementationWe, the makers of the Wimmel app, grew up with the famous Wimmelbilderbcher, or teeming picture books. Because nowadays even the very young are fascinated by new electronic media, the idea of transferring this valuable educational childhood memory to a modern medium practically suggested itself. This medium is characterised in particular by its tangibility and simple handling.In implementing the Wimmel app we paid special attention to a very natural and real adaptation of the Wimmel pictures. The illustrations were drawn and coloured by hand in the good old-fashioned manner.
